Ocean and Space collide in North Carolina to create some fantastic
attractions
Brian McCall, owner of Planet Fun and Starz Sports Grille in Shallotte, North Carolina was looking to create
a 50,000 square foot entertainment center that would bring much needed jobs and a whole lot of fun to his
community. "We are extremely excited about the project and look forward to bringing this upscale family
entertainment center to Shallotte." said Brian. "It will offer an array of attractions and recreational
activities for the entire family." In July 2009 this became a reality, and with the help of the Creative Works
team supplying the themed laser tag and miniature golf attractions, this became the largest family entertainment
recreational complex along the Coastal Carolinas.

Small plane crashes into entertainment center, pilot
proceeds to play laser tag
In the fall of 2007, Warren and Ann Atkinson were attending an entertainment tradeshow looking to convert
their fitness facility into a fun place for families and kids. They were excited about the possibilities to
change careers and begin to offer something for their community that was requested by so many. Owning a
successful fitness center for over a decade, they had transformed lives one at a time through strength
conditioning, nutrition and education. We wanted to turn our attention to the youth of our community and begin
to offer something they could enjoy, said Warren Atkinson. Along the way, Creative Works guided them
through the start-up phases of their site including the attraction mix and architectural enhancements that were
needed for the conversion. Inside the site, the attraction mix consisted of a two level laser tag arena, a rock
climbing wall, video and redemption games, food and concession items, miniature bowling as well as Lazer Frenzy
the lazer maze game.

LAZER FRENZY opens in the Fun Spot to rave reviews
Six months in the making, the established Grand Country Inn located in Branson, Missouri recently opened the
doors to a new entertainment facility called the Fun Spot. With its grand opening the first of June, the
facility opened with great success and included an inviting pizza buffet area, blacklight miniature golf course,
miniature bowling, a top-of-the-line arcade with redemption center and the new attraction known as LAZER FRENZY.
Frank Seninsky of Amusement Entertainment Management, a consultant for the family fun industry remarked, "LAZER
FRENZY is the hottest new attraction this year. After seeing it in person I had to add it to the Fun Spot
project. Even though it was the 11th hour, Creative Works and its team behind the creation of this great
attraction came through and took care of everything. Since the installation, LAZER FRENZY has been generating
$1,500 per week in revenue, which means it will pay for itself twice over inside the first year of operations.
You cannot ask for a better return on your investment!"

Wazee's World showcases AREA 51 themed attractions
Back in 1947, they said a UFO landed near Roswell, New Mexico and that materials were recovered by the United
States government. Over the years much debate has arisen from this incident and according to Wikipedia, it
ranks as one of the most publicized and controversial UFO incidents ever. To capitalize on this phenomenon and
bring the story to life, Greg and Christine Payseno searched for a company that could create elements of this
story for their new family entertainment center. They were set on building a laser tag facility with a
glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course. They spent months researching all the companies in the market but
settled on Creative Works. We wanted the WOW Effect, and after wading through all the companies out there, we
knew that Creative Works was the only one that could make this happen for us, said Christine.

Mike Anderson, owner of the Pinz entertainment center, was looking to create a state-of-the-art bowling
center that would rival the others in his marketplace. He was looking to create the WOW factor when people first
walked through his doors and to continue that experience throughout their visit. He contacted one of the top
architectural firms for bowling centers in the country, Fitzgerald and Associates out of Oklahoma, to put
together a plan that would usher in the next generation of bowling sites. From the beginning he was looking for
the best in attractions, products, and services. He came to Creative Works to help create a laser tag arena like

1920's Gangsters take over small town family entertainment
center
Bryan and Shelley Kinneer approached us in late 2008 about the new family entertainment center that they
were opening called Perfect Games. The center was planned to include 24 lanes of bowling, a multi-level laser
tag attraction, inflatables for the younger kids, a sports bar, and a full restaurant. To create a unique
facility, they wanted customized theming for a 1920s to 1940s gangster concept - Chicago style. With movies
such as Dick Tracy and Roger Rabbit as reference material, they approached us to develop Gangster Quest.

Kansas City area bowling center retrofits to add themed laser tag attraction
The owners of the Premier Bowling & Recreation Center, Min Lam and Laura Do, approached Creative Works
to design a themed laser tag environment for their bowling facility that would be visually appealing to their
guests yet would be low-cost to their bank account. Since purchasing the business less than two years ago, they
had steadily refurbished different sections of the facility and were looking to do something with an inactive
billiards and seating area.

Jungle Props abound at The Wow Zone Family Entertainment Center
Our Theme Team paid a recent visit to Mankato, Minnesota over the week of November 19th to theme the WOW
Zone Family Entertainment Center. The WOW Zone offers 16 lanes of bowling, a 3,000 square foot 2 level laser
tag arena, 9-hole miniature golf course, arcade, and wood oven pizza kitchen. We themed their laser tag in our
“Space Marines” theme, a futuristic space environment similar to that found in popular video games
such as Half Life, Unreal Tournament, and Halo. Their 9-hole miniature golf course was given the
Jungle Quest theme, with life size animals such as lions, gorillas, and tropical birds. Thick
jungle foliage is growing from the walls and a life-size Jeep is crashing through the entrance to navigate
the rough terrain.
